Feedback driven changes
Changes between the prototype and this version were driven by feedback from my classmates.
What follows are most of the points they made.
"The FoV of monsters should be visualised in some way."
Its size and direction is important both for the game maker and then also for the player.
Top right parkour section is described to contain spikes.
"Their location should be show exactly, so the game maker can place them."
"Doors and bridges should have a different visual than "D"/"B" in a circle."
(I decided to also change how buttons and pressureplates were visualised, to be more distinct from the rest.)
"Show more clearly where a moving platform moves."
(Moving platform was shown as just the default position plus an arrow. I added a dashed silhouette depicting the other possible position.)
In the middle left section there is a button in the wall.
"It should be better conveyed that the player should crouch and shoot the button."
(With this I do not agree. I think that is a "part of the puzzle" and should stay that way.)
